First things first. Everyone is welcome at the St Albans Celtic Supporters Club - members or non-members. Obviously we like it when people do join as it means the club grows, it's a better laugh and we can do more stuff.

 

Also, membership is extremely good value. You get the following for £20 a year (Student, Pensioner, Unemployed Concession - £10).

What You Get For Membership  

Club Shirt

The Club Shirt is a black polo top with an embroidered club crest. It's not going to shake the 

fashion world but it's a good top and worth the membership fee alone.

 

Affiliation to Celtic

The club is in the processing of affiliating to Celtic to be recognised as an official club and to get the associated benefits.

       

Access to Tickets

Affiliation means we will be eligible to apply for tickets including Old Firm and Champions League games. Normally clubs get 4 tickets per application. When you consider there's a minimum of 4 Old Firm matches and a minimum of 6 Champions league games this season - that's 40 tickets for sell out games. Plus many of our members have season books that they don't use every week.

 

Access to Televised Games

Membership gets you access to the games in O'Neills and more importantly access to details of when the games are on.

 

Option On Champions' League Trip

At present we plan to go to a Champions League away trip this year to see Celtic play one of the big European clubs. Members will have access to the trip.

 

Contacts for Travel to Parkhead

There's normally always someone from the club going to a game so there's plenty of scope to share driving with other members or meet up for flights, trains etc.

 

Football Team

The Club already has a decent 5-a-side team.

 

Access to Social Events

We are planning a social event for later in the year with a big name from Celtic. Details TBC.  We also have access to social events in other supporters clubs in the area.

 

Club Email Account

There are a limited number of e-mail accounts available that take the form yourname@stalbansceltic.com. The are available to members on a first come first served basis.

 

A Bit of Chat While Watching the Games

The best thing about joining the club is that it's a good crowd of Celtic fans and beats watching the game at home on Setanta with only Craig Brown and Mark Hateley for company.
